stuck on a problem

I'm attempting a puzzle but after playing my second move, it just hangs and does nothing.
I don't know what the problem number is, but it's a mate in 3 for Black. The solution is 1 ... Bd6+ 2 Kg4 h5+ 3 Kh4 g5#.
After I play 2 ... h5+, it just hangs. The engine doesn't make a move. I've tried leaving it for a while, but still nothing happened.
My guess is that if I got it wrong deliberately, I could progress to the next puzzle, but I don't really want to do that unless I absolutely have to.
